P4 Learning Journey to National Gallery Singapore

Active participation at National Gallery Singapore.JPG

All P4 students embarked on their 1st museum-based learning at National Gallery Singapore! Facilitated by volunteers at the Gallery, our students got closed-up with beautiful paintings by renowned Singapore artists. They were enriched by the art appreciation experience, where they analysed self-portraits by Singapore painter Georgette Chen and  works by local artist Chen Wen Hsi depicting samsui women at work.   The learning of art was made more authentic and students learned to see art from different perspectives. Our students had returned from the trip feeling inspired by the art works and the stories behind them. Our art teachers conducted post-trip art appreciation lessons where our students created their own art pieces inspired by their experience at National Gallery Singapore.
