Hosting of Chengdu Haibin Primary School & Santa Laurensia Elementary School
Concord Primary School had the privilege to host our Jakarta Indonesia counterpart, Santa Laurensia Elementary School (3-6 April), and our China counterpart, Chengdu Haibin Primary School (3-4 April) in April 2018. Ten teachers and 62 students from both schools exchanged valuable pointers on how to enrich the learning for our future leaders, and learned about the Singapore school system through authentic experiences of how Concordians are enriched in Concord’s PRIME-refurbished school premise.
The hosting programme allowed us to achieve the objectives of developing Concordians as global citizens, well-anchored in values, and heighten Concordians’ awareness of their role as gracious ambassadors of Singapore. In addition, it provides Concordians with a platform to demonstrate their values and social-emotional competencies, interacting with their overseas friends.
Teachers and students from both countries forged and strengthened our friendship, and treasured the opportunities afforded by this hosting.
