P5 Outdoor Adventure Camp
From 19 to 21 April 2018, our Primary 5 Concordians experienced an activity-filled outdoor adventure camp that was full of thrill and fun!
The P5 Outdoor Adventure Camp consisted of a series of exciting activities and tasks. The theme of the camp is Racial Harmony, and the planned activities fulfilled the objectives of building teamwork and social cohesion, managing the personal and emotional aspects of one’s life and explore ways to respond to challenges and embracing the spirit of adventure.
Staying away from their homes gave our students a sense of independence but they also faced with a variety of challenges through their shared responsibilities. They learnt to work with one another and manage themselves and their emotions in the different situations they were put in. This camp was also packed with delicious healthy meals, evidently by the little food left over after every meal. With this camping experience, our students also learnt about nature and the history of Singapore through their trail walk in Labrador Park. Along the way, they picked up life skills as well. It culminated with Campfire night with fun songs, performances and dances around the “bonfire”. The camp was conducted by trained facilitators and certified instructors who looked after their safety at all times.
All in all, the P5 Outdoor Adventure Camp was a life-changing experience for everyone who went!
