TIE - Santa Laurensia Immersion
From the 7th to 10th March 2018, 26 Primary 4 students went on an overseas immersion trip to Jakarta, Indonesia. This immersion trip was designed to enable students to imbue the joy of learning through an experiential learning journey beyond the shores of Singapore. At the same time, the trip aided in instilling the twenty-first century outcomes of global awareness and cross-cultural skills in our students. The students were given opportunities to interact with their overseas counterparts from Santa Laurensia Elementary School. They were actively engaged and learnt to appreciate their peers from a different cultural background. The immersion consisted of fun hands-on activities such as “tempeh” making and craft work at “Pendopo”, which were indeed enriching for the students.
