Racial Harmony 2019

Racial Harmony Day Recess Activity - Parent Volunteers Helping Out.JPG
The school commemorated Racial Harmony Day on 22 July 2019 and many school staff and students came to school dressed in ethnic costumes. The theme for this year’s Racial Harmony Day is “The Singapore Connection” and the school started the commemoration with an assembly programme that focused on the shared experiences and values that have connected us as Singaporeans. The highlight of the commemoration was a fashion parade put up by both teachers and students to showcase the ethnic costumes of the different races in Singapore. And on 22 July to 24 July, cultural fusion game booths were set up near the school canteen during the various recesses as a way for the students to learn more about the “connectedness” between the various cultures in Singapore. A big “Harmony” tree was also “planted” on a wall near the school canteen to promote a harmonious way of living amongst the different races in Singapore.
