Dear P1 Parents of Cohort 2021

Please remember to attend the P1 Orientation for parents via Zoom on 20 November 2020 from 3.00pm to 4.00pm. The Zoom details have been given to you in the folder which you have collected during the admin day.

Do watch out for this space on 20th November 2020 as more important information will be uploaded here after the P1 Orientation.

What are the mode of communication with the teachers?
  • You can also write an email to your child’s teacher.

  • You can call the school’s General Office to leave a message for the teacher to contact you.

  • You make a note in your child’s student handbook and remind your child to show it to the teacher. The student handbook will be given to your child on the first day of school.

What is the reporting time?
The reporting time is 7.30 a.m. daily.

What is the dismissal time?
There will be staggered dismissal time due to Covid-19 Safe Management Measures.

P1 students will be dismissed at 1.20 p.m. from 8th January 2021 onwards.

Can my child be dismissed at any of the 3 gates?
No. For safety reasons, P1 students can only be dismissed at the void deck of Block 451 via Gate 12.

What time is recess?
Recess time is 8.00 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.

P1 students will be given more time during the first week of school to adapt to the new routine.

What are the types and prices of the food sold in the canteen?
Please refer to the school website under Announcement/P1 Orientation for details.

How much money should my child bring for recess?
$2 should suffice.

What time is snack break?
Snack break is 11.00 a.m. to 11.10 a.m.
9.

What can my child bring for snack break?
Your child can bring dry snacks and drinks that can be easily consumed.

Example: bread, biscuits, fruits, healthy drinks, etc.

What if my child needs to contact me?
Your child may approach any teacher for assistance.

What if my child requires after-school care services?
There is an after-school student care center that provides such a service. Do call the General Office to enquire.

You may also engage external student care centres near the school.

When does my child wear PE attire or school uniform?
Students should wear PE attire on days with PE and PAL lessons.

14.

Must my child wear the name tag daily?
Yes. Name tags should be sewn onto the uniform and PE attire.

When will my child receive the ez-link smart card?
The school will inform you via Parents Gateway at a later timing.

16.

How are students familiarised with the school?
Students will go through a 5-day orientation during the first week of school.

17.

How will students be supported in their transition from kindergarten to primary school?
Students will go through a 3-week transition programme to help them transit from kindergarten to primary school.
