P4 to 5 Bridging Programme - Calculator Workshop
The workshop was conducted by the Primary 5 Mathematics teachers during curriculum time on 5 January. The use of calculators helps to facilitate the use of exploratory approaches in learning mathematical concepts and solve challenging problems. The objective of the workshop is to familiarize the primary 5 students with the various basic function keys on the scientific calculator to perform a range of mathematical calculations.
After this workshop, students will have the basic knowledge of using the function keys and choose the correct calculator function to perform calculations for a given problem. It enables students to solve mathematical problems which may be challenging for them to work with if they do not have a calculator.
